I got in a run last night after getting back from having some sushi, etc. at Sakura in Decatur. The kids decided they wanted Chinese, so I was more than happy to oblige. We had never been to Sakura before and it was a pretty nice place. From the outside, it wasn't that impressive, but once inside, it was nice.
They had a very large selection on the buffet. I had some sushi and some of their General's chicken. The chicken, while good, didn't taste like the Tso I know. It was okay, and tasted more like teryaki. The sushi was okay and the wife and kids enjoyed their food. I had some vegetable mai fun for the first time, it was okay. Of course, I had some soft serve for dessert.
We toodled around the mall and got some new shoes for the kids. Plus, a stop at Dollar Tree to secure some big Tootsie Rolls for me.
Once I got home and the tummy had settled, it was time to lace up the Nikes and hit the road. The weather was really nice. The humidity was down, and it was getting close to sunset. I headed west, to do the 'over the I-72' route with my dog. I was pretty tired after yesterday's run, but my body felt a bit better this time around.
Sadie and I ran the first part, then I left her at home to get in the final part of the run. I knew I wanted to get in some more mileage, so instead of turning around at my .4 spot, I ran down by Stub's house, turned around and headed home thru town.
As I am want to do, I immediately went to GMaps and found out I had done nearly 6 miles. I was pretty happy with that.
I had a post-race Tootsie Roll and watched, 'Workout'. I know how to have a good time.
