In praise of the swoosh.

There are many people who like to talk smack about Nike. I am not one of them.

Growing up, I was never a big Nike fan. I was into hip-hop and adidas ruled my world. I had some black adidas high tops that I loved. In fact, I had a little ceremony and burned them after I had worn them out. My wife (then my girlfriend) was there for it.

Let's jump ahead 20 years or so, and I'm loving the swoosh. Nike's Dri-Fit products are top notch. I currently own about 5 pair of Nike Dri Fit running shorts and I love them. You can add a few Nike Fit Dry shirts, caps, and of course, Nike shoes.

Nike first made their money from selling running gear, and while they've expanded into just about everything, they still make damn fine running gear.

Nike's Traning Log is what I've used for years and I love it.

I have also had great luck with Nike Customer Support. In the times where I've had trouble with my traning log, my e-mails were answered very quickly. I can't say that about other companies I've tried (underscore 'tried') to contact.

The swoosh is fine by me.
